The Straumann CAD-CAM Straumann Cuttable Ti Base library adds the cuttable Ti-Base geometry to exocad DentalCAD. The Ti-Base is reproduced in the variant that can be shortened in length, which is useful when the screw channel must be adjusted to the prosthetic situation.
Inside DentalCAD the geometry is used as the bonding interface for crowns, bridges and hybrid abutments designed on top of the base. Margin, anti-rotation features and screw channel direction follow the original Straumann part to keep the digital and physical components matched.
The library is suited to labs that produce monolithic or layered restorations bonded to Straumann Ti-Bases and frequently need to cut the base to height. It can be downloaded from the catalogue and used in the exocad implant workflow.
