Thommen Milling Abutment peek ScanAb

Thommen Milling Abutment peek ScanAb is an implant library for exocad DentalCAD aimed at workflows that capture the implant position with a PEEK scannable abutment from Thommen. The library provides the abutment geometry matched to this scanning component, so that the position read from the model can be transferred reliably into the CAD project.

Once aligned, the designer can model a custom milled abutment for cement- or screw-retained restorations on Thommen implants. This is helpful when intraoral or model scanning of the implant interface relies on the ScanAb body rather than a metal scanbody.

The library can be downloaded for use in DentalCAD. It is most relevant for laboratories that have standardised on the PEEK ScanAb protocol. It complements the standard Thommen milling abutment library for full coverage of the workflow.
