Two variants are included — Non-engaging and FDA · Non-engaging — so the user can match the geometry to documentation accepted in the target market.
The taller 6mm base offers more retentive surface, which is useful on splinted multi-unit cases where a non-engaging interface is the standard choice. During design the geometry is referenced for axis alignment, emergence and screw-channel handling on cement- or screw-retained restorations.
The library is available to download and integrate into the implant module. It is aimed at laboratories and CAD designers routinely modelling on the Implant Direct SmartBase platform.
