Straumann Variobase centralized is a Ti-base library for exocad DentalCAD targeted at laboratories that order centrally produced Variobase parts and only design the prosthetic part in-house. The geometries match the Variobase interface so that CAD output is compatible with the centrally manufactured titanium base.
Inside DentalCAD the library is chosen in the implant project step, after which the standard crown or bridge workflow proceeds as usual. The library can be downloaded from the catalogue and used in everyday implant projects on the Straumann Variobase platform.
It suits CAD designers who outsource milling of the metal interface and focus on prosthetic morphology. Single-unit crowns as well as short-span bridges based on Variobase fit naturally into this workflow.
