The Nobel Biocare Universal Base library equips exocad DentalCAD with the Ti-Base geometry required for crowns and bridges on the Universal Base platform. Four variants are included — Engaging and Non-engaging, each in Standard and FDA versions — so the designer can match the regional product and the rotational behaviour to the case.
Engaging variants are typically used for single units that need anti-rotation, while Non-engaging variants suit splinted bridges that must seat passively. In the implant workflow the CAD aligns the mesostructure or crown to the selected Ti-Base interface automatically.
The library can be downloaded and combined with the existing exocad implant catalogue. It is intended for dental technicians designing cement- or screw-retained restorations on Nobel Biocare Universal Base components. Selecting the correct variant is essential to ensure proper fit and prosthetic behaviour.
