Other Kelvin

Kelvin is a tooth anatomy library for exocad DentalCAD that contains a complete arch of reference tooth shapes for use during restoration design. Inside the exocad wizard it is chosen on the anatomy step, after which the software adapts the proposed form to the preparation, neighbours and antagonist.

The morphology covers anterior, premolar and molar positions, so the same set can be reused across single crowns, short-span bridges and full-arch designs. The shapes have a moderate, naturally rounded surface character that is comfortable to refine in free-form tools.

It is well suited to monolithic zirconia and lithium disilicate restorations as well as to cut-back designs for layering. The library can be downloaded and applied within the standard DentalCAD anatomy workflow.
