hd2 is a tooth anatomy library for exocad DentalCAD that develops the high-definition concept further with cleaner cusp geometry and a more consistent surface character across the arch. In the DentalCAD workflow it appears in the tooth library selector and provides morphologies whose marginal ridges, fissure patterns and labial macro-texture are already close to a finished aesthetic result.

The set is intended for monolithic zirconia and lithium disilicate restorations, where the milled surface should carry enough relief for stain and glaze alone to produce a vital appearance. Because the surface character is uniform between units, hd2 also performs well on multi-unit bridges and full-arch monolithic cases.

It suits technicians who want a detailed default they can refine selectively rather than having to add micro-texture from scratch. The library can be downloaded and added to the DentalCAD tooth libraries in use.
