DTLab DTLab.8

DTLab.8 is a tooth anatomy library compatible with exocad DentalCAD, supplying a second style of crown geometry for restorative cases. After selection in the tooth library dropdown the proposals are positioned on the preparation and refined with free-forming, contact and occlusion tools.

Compared with a more conservative set, the morphology can be useful when a slightly different cusp height or fissure pattern is desired without manual sculpting from scratch. Typical applications include posterior monolithic crowns, anterior crowns with natural surface texture, and short-span bridges.

Having two or three alternative anatomy libraries on hand lets a designer pick the shape that already fits the antagonist best and reduce editing time. The library can be downloaded and added to the DentalCAD selection.
